Cucumber
Cucumber is a popularly grown creeping vine plant in the Cucurbitaceae family that produces cylindrical fruits that are eaten as vegetables. They are low in calories but high in the water as well as a number of essential vitamins and minerals. Cucumbers should be eaten with the peel on to get the most nutrients. It contains antioxidants such as flavonoids and tannins, which help to prevent the buildup of harmful free radicals and may lower the risk of chronic disease.
